I love to create, it keeps my brain active.

It is never too late to go for it.

I retired in 2001, after 33 years teaching science to junior high and high school kids. For the past 10 years I have been carving and sculpting and writing books. Currently, I have 5 books on Amazon. I started chainsaw carving ten years ago. Then hand carving and finally sculpting in clay.

My latest sculptures are in collaboration with my wife Valerie. They are called Wood and Wire. They are totally unique. Valerie paints two original paintings in alcohol ink on wooden blocks. We put those together and create sculptures of animals, in wire, from those paintings. Valerie's website is "ValerieWestart.com"
